I had so much fun writing my post about my Go-To Makeup Look and Products that I decided to do a post about my soft glam makeup look as well! Well, that and I didn’t want to forget how to put on fake lashes since I didn’t have much practice in 2020… <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I do consider this look more of a soft glam than a regular glam makeup look because I don’t go all in with my base and I decided against using any black shadows! It’s pretty rare when I do a black smokey look now and as I mentioned in my Go-To Makeup Look and Products<\/a>, I don’t wear foundation. However, there are still a lot more products and, well, GLITTER involved to get this look.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eyeshadow<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When I do a look that has heavy eyeshadow, I’ve gotten into the habit of doing that first instead of my base. That way any fallout that may occur doesn’t ruin my base! I start by priming my eyelids with my trusty Mac Paint Pot<\/a>. For this look, I played with three different palettes. I used the Kylie Cosmetics Koko and Sorta Sweet<\/a> Palettes, and the Anastasia Beverly Hills Norvina Palette<\/a>. From Koko, I used Truezeldorf and True Meaning. For Sorta Sweet, it was Cocoa and Berry Bite. Finally, from ABH, I used Passion and the shimmer shades Rose Gold, Dazzling, Summer (I dabbed it on top of the rose gold shades) and Dreamer. Basically, I went to TOWN with blending. You always want to start with a smaller amount of product and add as you go. It’s easy to add more, but it’s very difficult to remove, especially with dark shades! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Liners<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I used three different liners for my soft glam makeup look. I used the black Marc Jacobs Highliner<\/a> on my top waterline and the Urban Deccay 24\/7 Liner<\/a> in Whiskey on my bottom waterline. As for my regular liner, I opted for the Stila Liquid Liner<\/a>. There is nothing more stressful than trying to do symmetrical and straight lines on BOTH eyes. Honestly, it’s the worst, but I did it. \ud83d\ude42 Patience and a steady hand is key! I can’t believe that I used to wear liquid liner every single day in my early 20’s… Using the liquid liner, I also went into the inner corner of my eye and lined it for an overdramatic cat eye look. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lashes<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Okay, so here’s the tea. I learned how to put on fake lashes correctly when everyone was under lockdown… I decided to get all dressed up and do some glam makeup because I was bored and for some reason, it clicked! In the past, I never got the placement right and the edges would start to peel. I’m not sure what happened, but I got the hang of it! A few tips I learned along the way… CUT YOUR LASHES! Line them up with your eye and cut off and excess, starting with the longest part, if applicable, first. Then, bend your lash so that it’ll have a rounder shape which will help when you go to apply it. Finally, when you have the glue on, wait a minute or so in order for the glue to get tacky. If you stick it on too quickly, it’ll just end up sliding all over the place, ruin your liner, and often the edges will come unglued! Finally, you want to use an eyelash tool and clamp your fake and real lashes together for a more seamless look. The lashes and glue I use are both from Lilly Lashes<\/a> and the style for this look is Goddess. I then went in with my Benefit Better Than Mascara<\/a> for my bottom lashes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Base<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Base time! Sometimes, I use a trial size version for the Benefit Pore Concealer (I used to own the full size ages ago but never re-purchased it!). I decided against it for this look because I honestly don’t think that product makes a big difference on me. As you already know, I now use the Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer<\/a>. I apply two layers to give some extra coverage for the soft glam look. Then, I apply the Nars Creamy Concealer<\/a> in the shade Toffee to my undereye section with a slightly wet Beauty Blender. My final step is applying the Laura Mercier Translucent Powder<\/a> all over my face. I’ve been using this powder for about five years and it’s a miracle worker. It’s my secret weapon for hot, summer days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eyebrows<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For my glam makeup brows, I switch from my trusty Anastasia Brow Wiz <\/a>pencil to my tried and true Anastasia Dip Brow Pomade<\/a> in Ebony. There is something SO satisfying about using a brush and drawing\/filling in your perfect eyebrow shape! After that, I go in with any dark brown shade from one of my palettes and darken up the brow; my hair is dyed black and I tend to like my brows to look darker for that reason. Then, I set everything in place with the Anastasia Clear Brow Gel<\/a>. I use the same trick of brushing them upwards ever so slightly in order to make them appear more fluffy and full. There isn’t anything too groundbreaking here! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Face<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For my face, I use the same Too Faced Chocolate Soleil<\/a> bronzer, but I apply it with a much heavier hand. The blush is also the same Nars Orgasm X<\/a>. The difference between my normal and soft glam look is the highlighter. Just like with Kylie Cosmetics, I still use my Jeffree Star Cosmetics products that I already purchased. So, for highlighter, I use the Platinum Ice Pro Palette and I use a mix of the Ice Cold and Pink Chill shades. They’re blinding which is everything that I ever want in a soft glam makeup look. I apply highlighter on my cheekbones, inner corner of my eyes, brow bone, the bridge of my nose, and my cupid’s bow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lippies<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

No surprise here! I used the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat<\/a> in Iconic Nude and overlined my lips. My lippie of choice was the Kylie Cosmetics Velvet Liquid Lipstick<\/a> in the shade Boy Bye. I then applied the Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb<\/a> in $weetmouth in the center of my lips. This gives the effect of fuller lips and gives a pouty effect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Glam Makeup Finishing Touches<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As always, I finished by setting my whole face with the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray<\/a>! No makeup look, whether it’s casual or glam, is finished without it. I also spray some perfume when I’m done. The type depends on my mood. \ud83d\ude42 I love the YSL Libre<\/a> & Black Opium<\/a> along with Chanel Coco Mademoiselle<\/a>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And there you have it! One of my favorite soft glam makeup looks. I typically come up with different variations of this look when the occasion for a glam look comes up. I used to do much darker looks, but I find that the brown and rose tones suit me and my hazel eyes much more than silver and black. Although, I still do that look on rare occasions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    My camera picked up the bronze of Summer more than the pink of Rose Gold, but I promise you that it was pink toned in person!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
